Usage Recommendations
For optimal health benefits, enjoy 1 teaspoon (approximately 5 ml) of Atsas Silver Olive Oil daily - ideally on an empty stomach to maximise absorption, or as a finishing drizzle over meals to enhance both flavour and nutritional value. This cold-pressed, unfiltered oil is best enjoyed raw to preserve its rich polyphenol content and delicate flavour profile.
Under European Union regulation EC 432/2012, olive oil polyphenols contribute to the protection of blood lipids from oxidative stress - a claim certified by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) and applicable only to extra virgin olive oils containing the phenolic compounds oleacein and oleocanthal. With its exceptionally high polyphenol content, Atsas Silver is one of the few olive oils that qualifies for this EU-approved health claim - a mark of superior calibre.
About ATSAS Farm
The olives used to make all varieties of ATSAS extra virgin olive oil are grown on the ATSAS family farm in Nicosia, Cyprus, where the oil is also produced and bottled on-site. The olive trees are cultivated naturally, without the use of chemicals, and have not been sprayed for pests since 1974.
ATSAS farm lies within the United Nations-controlled buffer zone, where agricultural activity was paused for decades until farmers were recently allowed to return and work their ancestral land. Today, the soil is enriched with natural compost and beneficial microorganisms, supporting around 6,000 olive trees—some as old as 1,000 years.
The farm is certified organic with the LACON organic farming certificate.
Looking for an olive oil with a high concentration of polyphenols to take every morning I tried a lot of different olive oils. Atsas came out on top. It is silky and gives a pleasant tingle on the back of the throat when swallowed as a drink. It is lovely. I now also use it as a dip or drizzle. I have it delivered on a regular basis. Should any issues arise, being a family company keen to develop their reputation, they are dealt with immediately.
I’ve been using ATSAS olive oil for over five years now, and it has become an important part of our daily routine. What I appreciate most is the consistent quality and the richness of the oil – you can genuinely feel it’s a high-polyphenol product, not just something marketed that way.
In our case, we use it both as part of a normal diet (salads, meals) and also more intentionally alongside omega-3 supplements. For my child, who is autistic, we have found it very beneficial over the long term. I have also used it for my mother, who has Alzheimer's disease, and while of course it’s part of a broader approach including prescribed treatment, we’ve noticed that her condition has progressed more slowly than expected.
From a taste perspective, it has a strong, clean flavour that reflects its quality, and that’s something we’ve come to trust over time.
My wife and I have been taking Atsas Extra Virgin Olive Oil for a number of months now and believe it is helping with our joints and general health. Though the recommended dose is half a teaspoon, we take a whole one in the belief that you can’t get too much of a good thing. We are hoping that twice the amount will bring twice the benefit. The oil can be a little peppery first thing in a morning, but it is not unpleasant and leaves no nasty after-taste. The quality is beyond dispute and though this is reflected in the price, it is well worth it.
